About the Recipe

These Spicy Roasted Chickpeas are the perfect high-volume snack packed with protein. Simple, quick, and easy to make, they’re crunchy, flavourful, and satisfy your cravings while keeping it light and healthy!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (400g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 1 teaspoon of peri peri salt / seasoned salt

  • Pepper, to taste

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)

Preparation

  • Heat your air fryer or oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Pat the chickpeas dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Toss them in salt and pepper.

  • Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry or bake for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

  • Once done, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chickpeas and toss to coat.

  • Let them cool slightly before enjoying as a crunchy, flavorful snack!
